Mounted Prints

A common question I get is "What does mounted mean?" All images I sell 11x14 and larger come mounted. The mount is a styrene mount. This is a 1/8'' thick white plastic sheet, coated on one side with Cold-Mount permanent pressure sensitive adhesive on the front. This is a very smooth board that is not hydroscopic and is not affected by changes in moisture. Changes in humidity will not cause warping.

Basically it makes the image stiff. I like it because I can just lean the picture on a mantle or shelf. I also have gotten mounted prints with a digital mat (white around the image on the actual picture) and mount them directly to the wall with removable adhesive.

Here is an example of a series of pictures in my home office.

They are little utensil cups, the bar and the cups are from IKEA in the kitchen dept.

I can't find the link to the cups themselves, but you could use anything with holes.
